Loss Pudding Tips
Once Upon a time there lived a handsome prince named Prince Puddin Pants (Formally Known as Prince Porkchops Pants). As
you may have already guessed, Prince has a passion for pudding in
his diet......might we add, 'his Daily Diet'.
Prince loved
creamy instant pudding so much that he feasted on it at breakfast,
lunch, dinner, snack times and bedtime. Although Prince loved
instant pudding, it didn't love him. His cummerbund was suddenly
strained and he had no need of balloon-type pantaloons for his thighs
were ample filling in themselves!
As Prince gazed into
his royal looking glass, he pondered his ponderous situation. What,
oh what, could he do to banish these wide hips and thighs? He
was so frustrated that he called in the Royal Court Jester to perform
ridiculous things that would produce gut-wrenching laughs from the
Prince. But Prince could not laugh.
When the
Jester saw how distressed Prince was, he suggested, "Why not
call in the Royal Dietitian? She will know how to rid those
bulges - I am sure of it!"
Prince heeded his Jester's
advice and soon the Royal Dietitian was there. It was no secret
within the castle walls that Prince loved pudding. With that
Diet Knowledge in mind, she pulled two boxes from her bosom and
showed them to Prince - the boxes, that is.
One was a box of instant
pudding prepared with sugar. The Royal Dietitian showed the
Prince that each 1/2 cup serving contained about 180 calories when
prepared with whole milk. Prince had been enjoying the pudding
by the box-load, prepared with whole milk. Sometimes, he would
even use chocolate milk in his instant chocolate pudding mix for
a richer batch. Prince liked rich.
The Royal Dietitian
then showed Prince a box of instant, sugar free, fat free pudding.
When prepared with skimmed milk, a 1/2 cup serving contained
a mere 70 calories. The Royal Dietitian then produced two
ready-made puddings from her bosom and challenged the Prince to
do a taste-test. To his astonishment, Prince could not tell
the difference in the puddings! So he thought, 'Why eat the
full-blown pudding when I can enjoy the light pudding for the same
taste-bang?' And that is just what he did.
Except.....he cut back
on the amount of pudding that he was enjoying each day and substituted
healthy salads sprinkled with low fat ranch dressing. His
pantaloons slowly deflated and Prince resumed his trim shape that
he had in his pre-pudding days.
Prince also discovered
that the less pudding he ate, the less pudding that he wanted. He
also found a new craving amid his Puddin Adventure. He began
to not only eat healthy salads, but he incorporated nuts, veggies
and fish into his diet. In fact, Prince begin to eat so much
healthy fish that he acquired a new nickname, that being, 'The Prince
of Whales'.
Moral of the Diet Story:
Gaining weight is about more than what you eat. It's also
about how much you eat and when you eat. Indeed, we are what
we eat.
